Care and Storage

Cutting

Photopolymer plates are easily cut with scissors or a guillotine—a good reason to fill up any space on your plate with extra designs.

Adhesive Layer

Take care when removing the blue backing layer—make sure you are not removing both layers. Scraping a corner with a sharp blade helps separate the two layers. Always replace the  blue corrugated adhesive backing after use. The adhesive layer can be removed and replaced if necessary. Spray adhesive such as 3M Super 77 can also be used.

Cleaning

After use wipe your plate with a dry cloth, then clean with solvent (white spirits) as for lead type and wipe dry again.

Storage

Place your plate flat in a ziplock bag to prevent  it drying out and store away from light. While not designed for long life your plate can still last a number of years.
